ADAM Mag 3 Ultra Review: A Qi2 25W 3-in-1 Foldable Charger Built for Travel (With One Catch)

Travelling with an iPhone, an Apple Watch and AirPods means three cables and three chargers. The ADAM elements Mag 3 Ultra collapses all of that into one folding pad. I’ve been using it, so here’s the honest take — including a catch that isn’t on the box.

The short verdict

Charges all three Apple devices at once, folds smaller than a pair of sunglasses, and is a genuine one-item travel solution. But its speed depends heavily on the power adapter you pair it with: with a strong adapter (I used 65W) it’s quick; with anything 35W or under it slows down noticeably. Great for Apple users who travel; overkill if you only ever charge a phone at home.

What it is

A Qi2 25W 3-in-1 magnetic wireless charger. One pad, three spots:

  • Top magnetic pad — snaps to an iPhone, up to Qi2 25W
  • Flip-up pad — charges an Apple Watch
  • Base platform — holds an AirPods case

All three devices charging at once — phone pad on top, Apple Watch, and AirPods on the base

The magnet is strong — the iPhone snaps into place and aligns itself, none of the fiddling you get with cheap wireless pads.

The best part: it folds flat for travel

This is my favourite thing about it. Open, it’s a three-in-one stand on your desk. To travel, it folds into a small block — palm-sized, drops into a bag, no cables to coil. One item replaces three chargers and three cables.

Folded into a compact block — easy to pack

The catch to know before buying: the adapter decides the speed

Here’s the part that matters most and the box won’t stress: the charger doesn’t make itself fast — the power adapter does.

In my use, it ran properly and charged quickly with a 65W adapter. Pair it with a small 35W-or-under adapter and charging all three at once slows down noticeably.

Why? The spec label tells the story: its input needs 15V / 3A (around 45W) to run at full speed. A lot of compact 30–35W chargers simply can’t deliver that 15V rail at enough current, so the pad throttles.

Spec label — Input 15V 3A, Qi2 up to 25W, BSMI/FCC/CE/RoHS certified

Bottom line: buy a ~65W GaN adapter to go with it, or you’ll wonder why it feels slow — when really it’s being underfed.

Who it’s for / who should skip

Buy it if: you travel and want to carry one thing instead of three cables for your iPhone, Watch and AirPods.

Think twice if: you only need to charge a phone at home (a single magnetic pad is enough), or you don’t want to buy a separate adapter — because with a small charger it’ll feel slow.
